The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) convened an emergency meeting on Wednesday to explore strategies for preventing further escalation in the Middle East at the request of France and Israel.

On Tuesday night, Iran launched a series of its domestically produced missiles at occupied Palestine, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claiming that 90% successfully struck their intended targets.
The operation came in response to the regime’s assassinations of Hamas’ chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah’s leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforooshan.
