Gunmen abducted passengers traveling to Abuja from Enugu State after attacking their 18-seater bus in Nasarawa State. The incident occurred at Doruwa village on the Nasarawa-Keffi road, as disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, to Channels Television.
Nansel reported that the police were informed about the attack on Friday night. Despite the prompt response from police and other security agencies, the abduction had already taken place by the time they arrived. However, the swift action led to the rescue of three victims and the recovery of the bus.
Nansel assured that security agencies are continuing their search and rescue operations to apprehend the criminals and secure the release of the remaining abducted passengers. He emphasized the commitment of the police and other security agencies to resolve the situation and ensure the safety of the public.
