The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has scheduled an investigative public hearing for October 24 to address the ongoing issues of grid collapses.
In a notice shared via its Twitter account on Monday, the Commission announced that the hearing will take place in its Hearing Room, located on the fourth floor of Plot 1387, Cadastral Zone Central Business District, Abuja.
The Commission is mandated to conduct public hearings on critical matters pertaining to the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
It is important to note that the electricity grid experienced a collapse last Monday, with power restored by Tuesday.
The collapse that occurred on Saturday marking the third incident within a week.
