The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has transferred monitoring authority of the Enugu electricity market to the Enugu Electricity Regulatory Commission (EERC), under state government management, effective from May 1, 2024.
This historic move signifies the first time regulatory responsibilities have been passed from NERC to a state-level electricity regulator.
